An Important Message about the Duke Department of Population Health Sciences 2020 Summer Institute
We hope this message finds you and your loved ones healthy and safe as we, you, and the world confront the COVID-19 pandemic. We understand the situation almost certainly affects your daily personal lives, as well as your professional and academic activities, and your ability to plan for future events.
The Duke DPHS leadership and Summer Institute 2020 planning team have been monitoring all available information about COVID-19, and have received continuing guidance from the Duke School of Medicine leaders about Duke-sponsored summer events. Our highest priority is the health and safety of our local and global communities.
As such, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Summer Institute. Those who have already registered will be contacted, and all registration fees already paid will be refunded. Please let Mary Medlin or Sarah Miller know if you have any questions.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this challenging time. We wish you all health, safety, and as much calm as possible amidst these unprecedented events. We look forward to hosting the 2021 Summer Institute in DPHS, and hope you will join us then.
