Rosh HaShanah (literally meaning “Head of the Year”) is the Jewish New Year—a time of prayer, self-reflection, and new beginnings. Those of the Jewish faith review their actions over the past year and look for ways to improve as individuals and as a community. The holiday marks the beginning of a 10-day period, known as the Yamim Nora-im (“Days of Awe” or “High Holidays”) and culminates with Yom Kippur (the “Day of Atonement”). This year, Rosh HaShanah is celebrated from September 18 – September 20th, 2020. Learn more about the history of Rosh HaShanah
