After the Department of Population Health Sciences (DPHS) DEI Committee was formed in May 2019, the committee began planning for a department-wide climate survey.
The goal was to:
- Assess the current departmental environment regarding DEI
- Evaluate the current diversity of the department
- Solicit feedback on what works and what doesn't
- Obtain input on DEI committee priorities
The information obtained from the survey has guided evidence-based strategies to make DPHS an inclusive, equitable, and welcoming environment for all.
