Naloxone Kit Making Event for International Overdose Awareness Day

Share

For International Overdose Awareness Day, join your colleagues and friends in community service to help save lives from overdose.

Ways to participate include: Assemble life-saving naloxone rescue kits, Send much needed supplies, Educate yourself and get naloxone, and/or Donate funds

Join us and the NC Harm Reduction Coalition (NCHRC) for a hands-on, interactive opportunity to assemble life-saving naloxone rescue kits, and learn how to identify an opioid overdose and administer naloxone in an emergency.

We will meet outside in the side courtyard to the north of 300 Morris Street in Durham (across from the Imperial Building) on Monday, August 30, 2021, from 4-6PMasks (please bring your own), hand sanitizing, and physical distancing are mandatory. We strongly encourage everyone to be vaccinated against COVID-19. We are committed to adhering to the Duke Compact and following any local or state mandates or orders.

Our goal is to assemble at least 500 rescue kits which will be distributed all over NC to those who need it most—active drug users and their loved ones. Since starting in August 2013, NCHRC has established the largest naloxone distribution program in the South, and likely in the US.
