Ms. McMullen is a Program Director in the Department of Population Health Sciences. Collaborating with the Vice Chairs of Research, Faculty Development, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, along with the Chief Administrative Officer, she oversees the execution of leadership initiatives and departmental programs, directly managing the areas of day-to-day operations, hiring practices, onboarding and offboarding, and research quality. She supervises a team of 7 direct reports who serve in a variety of unique and vital functions throughout the department including facility operations, departmental events, well-being and professional development offerings, DEI and education programs, and administrative support.

Based in Roanoke, VA, Ms. McMullan began her career in community health education before transitioning into the academic medical school setting. She has received her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science & Community Health Education at Radford University, and her Certificate in Business and Professional Coaching from accredited Transformation Edge Coaching and Consulting.
