Carl Mhina is an MD from Tanzania. He holds an MPH with specialization in Health Economics from the University of Cape Town, South Africa, and an MS in Population Health Sciences from Duke University. Carl’s research interest is on the use of implementation science approaches to design and timely deliver evidence-based interventions for vulnerable populations, and Population Health Sciences offers the tools to achieve that. His previous work includes designing PrEP delivery models for people at risk of HIV, wellness programs for orphaned and vulnerable children and preference elicitation tools for elderly patients with hematological malignancies. During his free time he enjoys volunteering work and watching soccer (The English Premier League) with his family and friends.
