Clara studied Medicine at the Universidad de Granada in Spain, graduating in 2017. After medical school, she began her residency in Preventive Medicine and Public Health at Hospital Clínic in Barcelona in 2018. During this time, she completed a Master's degree in Public Health, a Master's degree in Public Policy and Management, and a Postgraduate degree in Statistics for Health Sciences.

During her residency, Clara worked on various projects in Chile with PAHO and in Morocco with ISGlobal. After earning her specialist title, she became a Policy Coordinator at ISGlobal, focusing on Global Health Policy research and advocacy. In 2023, she was awarded a La Caixa Fellowship to pursue a PhD in Population Health Sciences at Duke University. Her research focuses on creating resilient health systems that can withstand different emergencies.
