Dr. Guerrero is a postdoctoral fellow in the Measurement and Regulatory Science (MaRS) Fellowship program. She completed her PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Florida in 2023. During her PhD studies, she completed work in measurement development, including the development of a new Family Quality of Life assessment for rural families of children with disabilities. Prior to her studies, she was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to come to the U.S. Dr. Guerrero also received multiple awards during her PhD program, including the Margaret McNamara Education Grants Fund.
Dr. Guerrero completed a master's in sociology and an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering in Peru. She has previously held roles in non-profits, public health research, and telecommunication companies. Dr. Guerrero is also an activist and the co-founder of Warmakuna Hope. This non-profit serves children with disabilities living in poverty and their families in Peru by providing therapeutic services, empowering workshops, and promoting inclusive education with families and teachers.
