Ms. Mahoney is an Associate in Research in the Department of Population Health Sciences. Her research has primarily consisted of using Medicare data to investigate healthcare inequities related to health outcomes, including the mortality and hospital readmission rates of patients with various diseases. She also has experience in manuscript writing and with both qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Currently, she is working alongside her research team on a series of population-level studies exploring the relationship between socioeconomic deprivation at the neighborhood level and patient outcomes, with the goal of reducing disparities in care quality.
Ms. Mahoney received her Master of Science in Population Health Sciences from Duke University and Bachelor of Science in Health Science from the University of Florida.
