Dr. King is an investigator at the Durham VA Health Care System, Health Systems Research (HSR) Center of Innovation to Accelerate Discovery and Practice Transformation (ADAPT) and part of the Center’s Implementation and Improvement Science Lab (Co-Director and faculty leader of the Rapid Response Review) and Qualitative Core. She is also faculty in the Department of Population Health Sciences (member of the Implementation Science Research Collaborative [INTERACT, leader of education and outreach] and Center for Health Measurement) and Division of General Internal Medicine at Duke University School of Medicine. She is an implementation and measurement scientist with a particular interest in patient and family health-related quality of life. She has significant expertise in qualitative and mixed methods as well as partner engagement at a large scale across multiple sites and health systems, particularly in rural areas.
