Khatija joined Duke in 2016 and is currently the Human Resources Departmental Director for the Departments of Population Health Sciences, Molecular Genetics and Microbiology (MGM), Integrative Immunobiology (IIB), and the Clinical and Translation Science Institute (CTSI). She provides HR support to faculty and staff and works closely with the School of Medicine to meet the department’s needs, including managing the recruitment process, providing guidance on selecting the best talent, advising on policy administration and interpretation for a safe and balanced work-life, and providing support to employees and managers on employee relations issues.
