Marcie began her career at Duke twelve years ago in the Office of Strategic Planning and University Development during their fundraising campaign. There she provided administrative support to the VP of Strategic Planning and worked assisting the university to reach the 4.5b goal. She moved on to become a staff assistant/events coordinator for the Duke Initiative for Science & Society coordinating their Dinner Dialogues Program. The events facilitated discussions at the intersection of science and society between affiliate faculty and the Duke Community. She transitioned to the Department of Population Health Sciences to administratively support the Vice-Chair of Education. Currently, she is the program coordinator for the BRIDGE Program which supports a diverse and talented workforce equipped to improve population health, reduce health disparities, and advance health equity locally and globally.
Outside of her career, Marcie takes pride in her wonderful family and enjoys to travel with her husband and two daughters.
