Dr. Li is a Biostatistician in the PopHealth DataShare analytics team. She is interested in using big data analytics to improve the quality of health care for both patients and healthcare providers. Prior to joining Duke, she worked at the Institute of Trauma Recovery, Department of Anesthesiology at UNC-CH, where she conducted statistical analysis on multidimensional data generated from large-scale longitudinal studies of trauma survivors. She enjoys building statistical modeling including structural equation modeling, multilevel modeling, etc.
Dr. Li received her BS in biomedical engineering from the Capital University of Medical Sciences in Beijing, China, and her PhD in electrical and computer engineering from Duke University. She also holds a Master of Statistics from NCSU. Her research has been presented at conferences, including the Society for Biological Psychiatry Meeting, the Society of Thermal Medicine Meeting, the World Conference on Interventional Oncology, and the American Association of Physicists in Medicine.
