Duanduan Wang is a second-year master's student at Duke University, pursuing a degree in Population Health Sciences with a focus on pharmacoepidemiology. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Marine Pharmacy from China Pharmaceutical University, where she was recognized with awards such as the Gold Medal and Best New Basic Part Nomination at the International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) Competition.
Duanduan Wang's research focuses on investigating anticoagulant switching patterns in ischemic stroke patients with atrial fibrillation, aiming to provide insights into real-world treatment decisions and clinical outcomes. She is also involved in studying racial disparities in severe maternal morbidity and mortality, using mediation analysis to explore the role of comorbid conditions in these disparities.
In her free time, Duanduan enjoys photography, traveling, and practicing Chinese calligraphy. She also finds joy in cooking and yoga, activities that allow her to relax and maintain a balanced lifestyle.
