Graduate Student
Jie Gao is a second-year master's student at Duke University in the Department of Population Health Sciences. She graduated from Nankai University with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics in 2023. Jie is interested in methodology research, particularly at the intersection of causal inference and machine learning, as well as in observational studies. In the substantive area, she hopes to utilize these methods to better understand how clinical interventions and medications affect patients with chronic diseases. In her free time, Jie enjoys swimming, archery, and crochet.
