After earning a bachelor’s degree from Davidson College, Nash promptly entered the field of health care research. With notable contributions to various publications, grants, and presentations at Duke University’s School of Nursing focused on the social determinants of health (SDOH), Nash is currently involved in supporting Aim 3 of the Transition Clinic Network: Post Incarceration Addiction Treatment, Healthcare, and Social Support project. A Fulbright grantee, Nash will soon apply his SDOH research internationally by serving as a teacher and mentor to Brazilian undergraduate students. Upon returning to the United States, he aims to pursue a medical degree with a specialization in psychiatry.
