The DPHS Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee invites you to celebrate the unique and diverse Hispanic/Latinx cultures through food. Covid-19 has many of us at home this year, so the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee is hosting a fun virtual celebration that can be done with everyone in your household. Learn more about Hispanic /LatinX Heritage Month.

Rosh HaShanah (literally meaning “Head of the Year”) is the Jewish New Year—a time of prayer, self-reflection, and new beginnings. Those of the Jewish faith review their actions over the past year and look for ways to improve as individuals and as a community. The holiday marks the beginning of a 10-day period, known as the Yamim Nora-im (“Days of Awe” or “High Holidays”) and culminates  with Yom Kippur (the “Day of Atonement”).

The DPHS DEI Committee developed a survey to gather feedback from staff on the supervisors and faculty members they work with. The Committee recommends this survey be used as a template and integrated into the annual review process for both faculty and staff.
